Sanyo Electric has developed a few days ago the thinkpad r40 battery, thinkpad r32 battery conversion efficiency up to 19.5% (in October 2002 listing of the original product was 18.5%) of the HIT solar cell modules. At April 1, 2003 will be listed using the battery unit “200 W HIT solar cell modules”, and using this module’s solar power generation system.

Except for construction materials outside the large-sized battery module, “200W HIT solar cell modules,” the first time reached a 200W high power. Such high power primarily due to: (1) battery increases the effective power generation area; (2) by reducing the cell surface defect region thereby reducing the power loss; (3) reduces the 02K6928 battery and power modules loss (resistance loss) and so on. In addition, through the use of high efficiency HIT solar cells, able to ensure 17% conversion rate module. The module will be used mainly for residential solar power generating system.

Equipped with 15 solar cell modules, the previous generation products for 2450kWh / year (estimated), while the 200W module can reach 3530kWh / year, generating capacity increased 44%. Accordingly projections, configuration module 20 200W JAPAN almost average family will be able to provide the average annual power consumption (about 4795kWh / year). Also at 3kW system, solar power 02K7054 battery module weighs 210kg, compared with the original reduced about 90kg.
